Today, we were taken to see our new building that is being constructed for primary level. The moment we were informed about the visit, we became happy and thanked our social studies subject teacher for organising that short visit. Then we headed towards our destination in queue. On the way, we met our senior brothers and sisters of Gandaki College of Engineering and Sciences (GCES), a part of our institution. We reached the construction site within ten minutes. As soon as we reached there, we saw a huge building in red and yellow and were overwhelmed with joy and excitement.

Actually, this building was funded by Ministry of Education as a part of their policy to run classes from grade one onward. So, our school has also decided to start classes from grade one. This is a two storey building in which there are sixteen classrooms, one office room, four washrooms and one big hall to conduct different programmes and other co-curricular activities. The playground is not ready. It is near GCES and a kitchen garden in which there are different vegetables like cauliflower, mustard, cabbage, spinach, etc. Our teacher informed us that there would be classes from grade one to five, in this building. Still, it is under construction and may be completed by the month of March. I can’t read in this building because I will be in grade six next year. But I am happy because our junior brothers and sisters will be studying in this building.

This building is really big and beautiful. It is surrounded by green trees which give us fresh air. It is in a peaceful environment and we know that in such an environment we can have a peace of mind which is very vital for a sound health. Calmness and serenity also encourage and stimulate us to gain a lot of knowledge. This location also reminded me about my village which is situated on the lap of nature.

I feel glad and proud that this is our school’s building. Now the concerned stakeholders have to come with a concrete policy in order to channelize the dream into reality so that the school will be able to provide academic programmes from grade one to master’s level to fulfil the aspirations of the students.

Now, I would like to drop my pen. I am getting late to go to bed for a sound sleep. The day really went well.
